I’ve migrated my gallery over to DA, and am going to start using this blog for rough sketches and doodles…

I’ve been playing lots of Warhammer Online lately, and have gotten inspired by the Witch Hunter costume. I think Mythic did a great job on the visuals, so I guess my latest image is a tribute of sorts.
I’ll finally get around to posting a bunch of new stuff this weekend – I just haven’t had time (see ‘warhammer’, above)

Update almost ready – I have over 10 new pieces that I’m going to add very soon…
Also: Looks like they just put up the Monster Lab Website! I art directed this game for over a year, designing the main characters as well as the overall look and feel. I left Backbone prior to its being finished, but it looks like the guys (and girls!) did an amazing job!

I’m currently camping my way across Canada until late August, so there won’t be any updates until mid-September. Apologies to everyone who frequents my site (all 4 of you!), but I promise it will be worth the wait. In addition to exploring this great country of mine, I’m going to hit up the Frazetta museum - so after I eat Frank’s brain, I expect to become prolific to say the least. Have a great summer!

I added two more paintings, and got rid of a bunch of old ones. The two new images are a bit looser…

Just finished (mostly) a snowboard design for a friend of mine – it’s in the gallery now. The edges are a bit messy, so I’m going to have to clean them up pretty soon before he gets it printed. I’ll upload the final final final version then
I have been swamped with work, but I should have a bunch of new stuff to post in a couple weeks – thanks for looking!

Cover number 3 is all done! I uhm, didn’t do Conan though…
After the last 2 Batman covers, I figured I needed a break from alpha males

Finished up Cover Number 2. It’s in the gallery – hope you like it. On to #3 – Conan!
Stay tuned,

So I’ve decided to try and get work doing comic covers.
My plan is to supplement my portfolio with 5 comic book cover samples that I can show to publishers and hopefully sell them on my skilllzzz. I have a couple things working against me: 1) no ‘published’ experience, 2) no connections, 3) a full time job. Number 3 I’m not so worried about because my job is to draw, so it can only help me get better. I’m pretty good about finding the time to do personal stuff, so I think I have that under control.
There’s isn’t much I can do about the other 2, so I’m just going to post my samples everywhere online, and mail paper copies to the editors. Apparently cover work is really hard to get, too. Anyway, I figure I would ‘blog’ (I hate the f$%ing word) my progress and publisher reactions – just for the hell of it. So far: I’ve got one sample done in the gallery – 4 more to go.
